Art Hotel Pallas is named after the most important school of painting in Estonian art history, Pallas. It was active in Tartu in 1920's.

Vanemuine theatre, Tartu market, the shopping centre Tartu Kaubamaja and other shopping centres are in the close vicinity of the hotel. A pedestrian street that runs through the Tartu city centre starts from the hotel and the Old Town is only a short walk away. The interior design of the hotel is strongly influenced by the Pallas school of painting. The hotel has received the annual architecture prize from the Union of Estonian Architects. The rooms are full of light and have all the conveniences, including air conditioning. The hotel houses the pub-restaurant Big Ben and conference facilities. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
